Riyadh Season enters the Guinness Book of World Records

Weather of Arabia - Counselor Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Entertainment Authority, announced, on Thursday, the entry of the Riyadh season, the Guinness Book of World Records.

Al-Sheikh indicated, through his official account on Twitter, that the Riyadh Season obtained two certificates from the encyclopedia , as it was able to break records as the largest comprehensive entertainment event .

Al-Sheikh said: "As an extension of breaking records in the Guinness Book of Records in the last Riyadh season, the season received the first two certificates from Guinness in the current season."

The Riyadh Season 2021, which kicked off on October 20, began with a parade, the first of its kind at the regional level, that included more than 1,500 performers in fancy dress, 2,760 drones, in addition to shows dedicated to the Samaritan dance, in an atmosphere that reflected the great demand for the Riyadh season. and the growing demand for its activities.

The festival is one of the major Saudi events that establish a new concept in the world of entertainment, and make Riyadh the first destination for those looking for international entertainment diversity, targeted by those looking for fun and exploring future entertainment options.

This year, the Riyadh season included (14) entertainment areas that witnessed (7,500) activities, a walkway with a length of (3) kilometers, more than (200) restaurants, cafes and stores, (4) theaters, an international arena, (500) electronic games, and ( 9) International studios, in addition to a golf course and (12) paddle tennis courts, and the first and largest mobile skyloop in the world, with a capacity of 40% and more.

The festival’s activities varied between music and sports, game programs, walking and shopping spaces, and a wide choice of international cafes and restaurants in multiple locations, including Riad Boulevard City, Combat Field, Via Riad, Wonderland, Riyadh Front, Riyadh Safari, Zaman Village, and the Peace Tree. And other sites that contribute to the diversity of the season's programs and events that include various aspects of entertainment.

The season also included poetry evenings, the experience of fighting in 5 eras, riding military tanks, shooting with live ammunition, 15 interactive shooting ranges, and many qualitative and international events that were held for the first time in Saudi Arabia .
