Important: The National Center for Meteorology issues a red alert for heavy rain and strong winds affecting Dammam and the Eastern Province.
The National Center of Meteorology issued a high-risk weather alert (in red) today, warning of a strong rain event ranging from moderate to heavy, accompanied by high-speed winds affecting the eastern region.
The center explained that the situation includes the cities of Dammam and Dhahran, in addition to the governorates of Hafr Al-Batin, Khafji, Nairyah, Qaryat Al-Ulya, Jubail, Ras Tanura, Qatif, Khobar, Buqayq, and Al-Ahsa, as well as the villages and centers affiliated with them.
He pointed out that the atmosphere will witness heavy dust storms and a noticeable decrease in horizontal visibility, especially on highways and open areas, with chances of thunderstorms and hail, as well as the possibility of flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas.
The center indicated that this weather condition will continue - God willing - until 8 pm today, calling for caution and adherence to safety guidelines.
