These are the best times to travel by air to avoid flight delays or cancellations

A report prepared by the "Air Help" website identified more airports where such obstacles could occur. Among the airports where flight delays or cancellations occur most often are the British airports of Gatwick and Luton.

Gatwick airport has seen the highest number of flight delays and cancellations over the past two years, while Luton, Birmingham, Heathrow and Edinburgh airports have seen similar cases with slightly lesser proportions.

These results are based on data obtained from these airports, and from a survey conducted by the site in which more than 15,000 passengers affected by flight delays or cancellations participated.

The report revealed that the worst time to travel by air is from 12:00 noon until 04:00 in the afternoon, because these times witness major delays in flights, and that the best time to fly is from 10:00 pm to 06:00 am.

So if you want to minimize the possibility of your flight being delayed or canceled, make sure to choose flights that take off during the night or early in the morning.

The report advised travelers to claim their full rights when facing cases of canceling their flights, because many airports and airlines offer good compensation, according to what was reported in the British Daily Star newspaper.
