3 dead, 40 injured as Typhoon Shanshan makes landfall in Japan

<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr">Arab Weather - Three people died and 40 others were injured as a result of Typhoon Shanshan, which hit land on the main island of Kyushu in southwestern Japan. The typhoon disrupted air and train traffic, in addition to power outages in large areas.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Typhoon Shanshan made landfall near the city of Satsumasendai on Thursday morning, packing winds of up to 198 kilometers per hour, the Japan Meteorological Agency said, citing Kyodo News. Kyushu Electric Power Company said more than 250,000 homes in seven different areas were without power.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Typhoon Shanshan comes on the heels of Typhoon Ampil, which disrupted hundreds of flights and trains earlier in the month, and Tropical Storm Maria.
