Meteorology: Weather warnings issued Monday for 4 regions, including Riyadh

The National Center for Meteorology issued a series of weather warnings, including for parts of the Eastern Province, Riyadh, Asir and Najran regions, as a result of them being affected by active winds that stir up dust, sand and dirt.

These alerts will continue until 9:00 PM on Monday, May 25, 2026, with yellow warning levels until the time of preparing this report.

Eastern Region:

• The red alert includes : None.
• The orange alert includes: None.
• The yellow alert includes: Al-Ahsa, Al-Udayd, Abqaiq.

Riyadh region:

• The red alert includes: None.
• The orange alert includes: None.
• Yellow alert includes: Al-Aflaj, As-Sulayyil, Wadi Ad-Dawasir

Asir region:

• The red alert includes: None.
• The orange alert includes: None.
• The yellow alert includes: Al-Amwah, Al-Arin, Bisha, Tathlith, Tarib.

Najran region:

• The red alert includes: None.
• The orange alert includes: None.
• The yellow alert includes: Badr Al Janoub, Thar, Khubash, Najran, Yadmah, Sharurah

The most prominent expected weather phenomena:

• Active winds
• Excited upbringing
• Reduced horizontal visibility

The center called for caution, especially while driving, and stressed the need to keep up with updates.
