ArabiaWeather.com- Donald Gibson found a 15-million-year-old, three-meter-long shark fossil while building an extension to his home.

The Department of the Maritime Museum in the US state of Maryland said that the fossil includes more than 50 vertebrae, a skull and jaws full of teeth, which is the first to be found so far.

As soon as Gibson found the fossil, he contacted Dr. Stephen Godfrey, curator of the excavations department at the museum, who in turn confirmed that this discovery was of an archaeological shark.

He also noted that the jaws and teeth were in good condition approximately 15 million years after the fish was on the ocean floor.
