This moisture is expected to bring heavy thunderstorms across a wide area, including the Sultanate of Oman, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Yemen, beginning at the end of next week, God willing.

The Sultanate of Oman is expected to be affected on Saturday by humid air currents coming from the Arabian Sea, causing the sky to be partly to mostly cloudy, especially over coastal areas, with a chance of light to moderate rain showers.

Cumulonimbus clouds are also likely to develop over the Al Hajar Mountains in the afternoon, sometimes accompanied by heavy rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds, which could lead to the flow of valleys and ravines in some areas.

The UAE is expected to witness increased cloud formation over the coming days on the eastern coasts, especially in Fujairah, Dibba Al Fujairah, and Khor Fakkan. With these clouds active, light to moderate rainfall is possible, which may sometimes extend to limited areas inland.

Tropical humidity causes rain in 6 regions

Starting Sunday, tropical humidity will begin to penetrate Saudi Arabia's atmosphere, coming from the Rub' al Khali desert, one of the driest regions in the world. Cumulonimbus clouds are expected to increase, with a chance of rain showers.

Humidity will move westward on Monday, affecting the southern parts of the Riyadh region, then reach Najran on Tuesday. By Wednesday, it will extend toward the highlands of Jazan, Asir, and Al-Baha, where rainfall will occasionally become heavy and accompanied by hailstorms, potentially increasing the chances of valleys overflowing and flooding.
