طقس العرب- تعد زهرة "العيصلان"  من النباتات العشبية الخريفية المعمرة،  واسمها العلمي Aolchicum Stevenii kunth ، وتتميز بكونها أول زهرة برية تنبت وتزهر بعد نزول الغيث للمرة الأولى ( الشتوه الأولى ) بـعشرة أيام تقريًبا.

 

ويستبشر المزارعون والفلاحون بها حيث تعتبر فأل خير لموسم مطري وفير ولهذا سميت ( مبشرة الشتاء)، هي نبات بري خريفي، "كورماتها " أرضية صغيرة جدا مغطاة بحراشف رقيقة تزحف أفقيا تحت ارض.

 

وشوهدت يوم 2018/11/10 في منطقة وادي زقلاب في لواء الكورة بمحافظة اربد، يبلغ طول أزهارها بين 1.5 – 3 سم لونها زهري – زهري غامق او قرمزي.

 

 توجد في مجاميع من 4- 8 أزهار، وتتألف من البتلات ذات ستة " تفصصات مثلمه " طولها يبلغ حوالي 8- 12 سم لونها ارجواني

 

 الثمرة كبسوليه الشكل، وتكون فترة الأزهار بين  شهري تشرين ثاني وكانون ثاني ، وتنتشر في المناطق المرتفعة بين الصخور والأماكن الرطبة في الهضاب والجبال الشمالية والوسطى من الأردن.
