Arab Weather - Meteorologists at the Arab Weather Regional Center reported that the latest readings from computer simulations indicate that Iraq will continue to be affected today, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday by unstable weather conditions, the impact of which will increase during the hours of Friday/Saturday night with unstable weather conditions, accompanied by chances of thunderstorms in random and scattered areas of the country, especially the southern regions of the country, including parts of Basra Governorate, and the rain may be accompanied by hail showers.

Saturday: The weather instability will intensify, focusing on the north of the country. There are fears of flash floods and large hail.

According to preliminary data, a low-pressure system will pass through the northern regions in the upper layers of the atmosphere, coinciding with the availability of warm and humid air currents in the lower layers of the atmosphere, which will lead to the emergence of a strong state of atmospheric instability throughout the Kurdistan Region during the afternoon hours, and the sky, specifically in Sulaymaniyah and Kirkuk, will be clear. Strong thunderclouds will form, accompanied by heavy rain, thunderstorms and lightning, and heavy hail will fall in large quantities in some geographical areas.

During the night hours of Saturday/Sunday, the high impact of the unstable weather conditions will continue over northern Iraq, but with its concentration in the northeastern regions, specifically Sulaymaniyah and its surrounding areas. Strong thunderclouds will form, accompanied by heavy rain, thunderstorms, lightning, and heavy hail in some geographical areas.

- Stay away from valleys and torrents due to the high risk of flooding.
- Beware of the risk of flash floods and torrents in many northern regions.
