Snow showers are expected in parts of Tafilah and Ajloun governorates at this time

Arab Weather - The latest satellite images in "Arab Weather" indicate that parts of Ajloun Governorate in the north of the Kingdom and Tafilah Governorate in the south of the Kingdom were exposed to some snowfall, which led to light accumulations on the roads.

Therefore, we at the Arab Weather Center warn of the risk of slipping on the roads due to the light accumulations caused by snowfall.

The latest weather forecasts issued this morning, Thursday, indicate that polar winds will continue to flow towards the Kingdom, and the weather will be generally cold and very cold in the high mountains, cloudy and stormy with occasional rain, God willing, in the north and center of the Kingdom and Karak Governorate. The rain will be heavy at times, accompanied by showers of hail that may be dense at times over the high mountainous elevations. The rainfall will gradually extend towards several areas in the south and east of the Kingdom over time.

Snow is also expected, God willing, on the peaks of the Karak and Tafilah mountains, which include the Qadisiyah and Rashadiyah heights and the surrounding areas, with occasional accumulations in those areas. Later, some snowfall will extend to the high peaks of the Shara Mountains to the south in Ma'an Governorate. As for the high mountain peaks in the north and center of the Kingdom, the opportunity will be available in the morning hours for snow showers to fall on the high peaks of the Jerash and Ajloun mountains, while it will often be mixed with rain on the peaks of the Balqa and capital mountains.
