The Egyptian Cabinet determines the Eid al-Fitr holiday

Weather of Arabia - The Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, issued a decision that the period from Thursday, corresponding to the 20th of this month of April, until Tuesday, corresponding to the 25th of April, be an official holiday, on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr and the Sinai Liberation Day.

The Cabinet stated in a statement that the leave will be paid for workers in ministries, government agencies, public authorities, local administration units, public sector companies, and public business sector companies.

The International Astronomy Center had announced that it is expected to investigate the crescent of the month of Shawwal to determine the date of Eid al-Fitr 2023 on Thursday, corresponding to the 20th of April, noting that the date of Eid al-Fitr 2023 is expected to fall on Friday the 21st of the same month.

It is expected that the Egyptian Ministry of Manpower will issue a ministerial decision to calculate the days of Eid Al Fitr 2023 leave for private sector workers, equal to those working in the government and public sectors, in light of the Prime Minister’s decision.
