وقال جدّ الطفلة محمد بن دغيم البلوي، أن حفيدته توفيت بسبب انقطاع الأكسجين عنها، بعد انقطاع التيار الكهربائي عن المستشفى وعدم تشغيل مولدات الطوارىء البديلة، لافتًا إلى أنهم طالبوا الأطباء في المستشفى بتحويل الطفلة بعد أن تم نقلها للطوارئ، لكنهم رفضوا ذلك؛ مما تسبب بوفاتها، بحسب صحيفة عكاظ.

 

بدوره، أكد المتحدث الإعلامي بصحة تبوك عودة العطوي، أن سقوط أسقف المستشفى سببه الشركة القائمة على إعادة وتأسيس البنية التحتية للمستشفى، مشيرًا إلى أنه تم تشكيل لجنة لمعرفة المتسبب في هذا الإهمال والتقصير.
