Arab Weather - The latest updates issued by the National Center for Meteorology indicate that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will be affected, on Saturday, April 18, 2026, by a strong state of atmospheric instability, accompanied by the activity of cumulonimbus thunderclouds, which will lead to rainfall of varying intensity over a large number of regions.

The weather situation is focused on moderate to heavy thunderstorms that may lead to flash floods in the regions of: the Northern Borders, Al-Jawf, Tabuk, Madinah, Hail and Al-Qassim, with its effects later extending to parts of the northern Eastern region.

The situation is also accompanied by surface wind activity that stirs up dust and sand, leading to a decrease or near-zero visibility in some areas, amid unstable weather conditions that also include the regions of Makkah, Al-Baha, Asir and Jazan, in addition to chances of light to moderate rain in parts of the Riyadh region.
