Saudi Arabia's Meteorology Department warns of thunderstorms and lightning in several regions on Friday, June 19, 2026

The National Center for Meteorology issued weather warnings for several regions, including parts of Makkah, Jazan, Asir and Al-Baha, of rain accompanied by lightning and thunder.

These warnings will continue until 9:00 PM on Friday, June 19, 2026, with "yellow and orange" warning levels in those areas.

Makkah Region:

• The red alert includes: None.
• Orange alert: None
• Yellow alert "Light rain": Al-Ardiyat. Adham, Maysan.

Al-Baha region:

• The red alert includes: None.
• Orange alert: None
• Yellow alert "Light rain": Al-Harjah, Al-Makhwah, Far'ah Ghamid Al-Zanad, Qalwah, Al-Baha, Al-Aqiq, Al-Qura, Al-Mandaq, Baljurashi, Bani Hassan,

Asir region:

• Red alert: None.
• Orange alert: Al-Majardah, Bariq, Rijal Alma, Mahayil
• Yellow alert "Light rain": Abha, Ahad Rafidah, Khamis Mushait, Al Namas, Balqarn, Tanomah, Al Harjah, Ar Rabwah, Sarat Abidah, Dhahran Al Janoub

Jazan region:

• Red alert: None.
• Orange alert: None
• Yellow alert "Light rain": Al-Harth, Al-Dayer, Al-Raith, Al-Ardah, Al-Aydabi, Fifa, Haroub

The most prominent expected weather phenomena:

• strong winds
• Reduced horizontal visibility
• Light rain, lightning and thunder
• Scorching temperatures approaching 50 degrees
