موقع "طقس العرب الإلكتروني" – وصفي سلايطة – تعرضت مناطق في شمال الهند وتحديدا في ولاية أوتارا خند الجبلية الى أمطار غزيرة جدا ومتواصلة إستمرت لعدة أيام وقد وصلت كمياتها الى حوالي 250 ملم.


ونتيجة لهذه الأمطار الطوفانية فقد إرتفع منسوب المياه بشكل كبير وحدوث فيضانات عارمة وإنهيارات طينية وانجرافات للتربة بحيث أدت الى مقتل حوالي 30 شخصا وفقدان العشرات بالاضافة الى تشريد المئات.
