موقع ArabiaWeather.com- تهدد موجة الجفاف الشديدة التي تشهدها كوريا الشمالية حياة الأطفال وتعرضهم لخطر الإصابة بالأمراض وسوء التغذية، وفقا لمنظمة الأمم المتحدة للطفولة (يونيسيف).

 

وأكدت المنظمة من خلال بيان صدر عنها اليوم الأربعاء، وجود ارتفاع حاد في حالات الإصابة بالإسهال بين الأطفال في المناطق التي ضربها الجفاف مع تراجع خدمات مياه الشرب الآمنة والصرف الصحي.

 

وقد يتسبب نقص الأمطار بتقليص فرص الحصول على مياه نظيفة ويهدد النظافة العامة؛ مما يجعل حياة الأطفال في خطر، بحسب تصريحات  المدير الإقليمي للمنظمة دانييل تول.

 

يذكر أن كوريا الشمالية تشهد أسوأ موجة جفاف خلال قرن؛ أدت إلى تضرر بعض أقاليمها الزراعية الرئيسية بشكل كبير.
