طقس العرب- تسببت السيول في متنزه هيلز جيت الوطني في كينيا بوفاة 7 أشخاص، غالبيتهم من السياح الذين لم بتم تحديد جنسياتهم.

 

وذكرت هيئة الحياة البرية الكينية عبر حسابها على تويتر أن الحادث وقع الأحد في ريفت فالي على بعد 69 كيلومترا شمال غربي العاصمة نيروبي.

 

ويشتهر المتنزه بوديانه ومنحدراته والأبخرة المتصاعدة من باطن الأرض بسبب نشاط حراري جوفي، وتستخدم الأبخرة في مناطق متاخمة له في توليد الكهرباء.

 

ووديان المتنزه معرضة للسيول التي أودت بحياة زوار في السابق. ولاقى سبعة أشخاص من مجموعة تابعة لكنيسة حتفهم في 2012 أثناء جولة بسبب سيول.
