Five Arab and Gulf countries will be directly affected by strong winds and dust on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Arab Weather - The Arab Weather Regional Center is monitoring weather developments in the Gulf states and Iraq. The latest numerical model outputs indicate renewed activity of seasonal "Bawarih" winds on Tuesday and Wednesday, accompanied by strong gusts of dust and sand.

Five Arab and Gulf countries will be directly affected by strong winds and dust on Tuesday and Wednesday.

According to meteorological analyses, these winds originate from southern Iraq, where active to strong northwesterly winds are recorded, with some gusts reaching approximately 70 kilometers per hour, leading to the formation of dust waves. The dust resulting from these winds is expected to gradually spread to include five Arab countries, namely:

• Southern Iraq
• Kuwait
• Eastern Saudi Arabia
• Qatar
• Western parts of the UAE

Weather forecast maps show that the peak impact of the gale-force winds will be on Tuesday and Wednesday, with wind and dust intensity varying from region to region. Open areas and highways are also expected to experience a significant decrease in horizontal visibility, which could impact traffic and air navigation in some areas.

Under these expected weather conditions, Arab Weather recommends the following:

• Drive with caution during times of high dust.
• Avoid going out for patients with respiratory and eye conditions, especially during peak hours.
• Vehicle washing operations in affected areas are postponed until the situation is resolved.
