Expected rain and dust-raising winds in Saudi regions on Friday

Computer simulation systems at the Arab Weather Regional Center have begun monitoring the possibility of large areas of the Kingdom being affected by noticeable weather fluctuations on Friday. Forecasts indicate that a cold air mass will rush in from the eastern basin of the Mediterranean Sea, which will prepare the atmosphere for distinctive weather events.

Expected rain and dust-raising winds in Saudi regions on Friday

Weather fluctuations and chances of rain are expected to begin to affect the region as follows:

• Tabuk region: Friday morning will start with unstable weather conditions and scattered local rain.
• Makkah Al-Mukarramah region: Chances of rain extend to it in the afternoon as the cold air deepens.
• Qassim, Hafar Al-Batin and northern Riyadh: Scattered showers of rain by midnight.

Southwesterly winds raise dust and dirt on a large scale

Large parts of the Kingdom are affected by active southwesterly winds, sometimes accompanied by strong gusts, which leads to dust and sandstorms, especially in the western parts of the Riyadh region and the center of the Kingdom.
