Arabian Peninsula: Cumulus clouds and heavy rain in the highlands

The effects of tropical moisture continue to flow towards the southwestern and western highlands of the Arabian Peninsula, promoting the formation of cumulonimbus clouds and moderate to heavy rainfall over the highlands of southwestern Saudi Arabia and Yemen.

Rain may sometimes be heavy and accompanied by hail and thunderstorms, with active surface winds, which increases the likelihood of flash floods in some valleys and low-lying areas.

Sudan: Widespread seasonal rains in the central and southern regions

Sudan continues to be affected by the flow of tropical moisture, leading to renewed moderate to heavy rainfall in areas of the central and southern regions, accompanied by lightning and thunder, and may lead to a rise in water levels and local flow of valleys.

North Africa: Thunderstorms and warnings of water accumulation

The Maghreb countries will continue to experience chances of rain in the coming days, especially in northern, central and southern Algeria, in addition to northern Tunisia and northern Morocco. The rain may be heavy at times and accompanied by hail showers, with warnings of the possibility of water accumulation and rising water levels in some areas as a result of the heavy rainfall.
