ArabiaWeather.com - The Jordanian government issued a decision on Sunday 18-8-2013 to start the Red Sea water desalination project, which aims to provide the governorates of Jordan with water for drinking and irrigation purposes, in light of the water difficulties facing the Kingdom.

And Dr. Hazem Al-Nasser, Minister of Water, gave a briefing to the Prime Minister on the Red Sea-Dead Sea water carrier project.

It is noteworthy that the project, which was approved by the Prime Minister, is joint between Jordan, the Palestinian Authority and the Israeli occupation authority.

This project will desalinate approximately 100 million cubic meters of water to supply the governorates of the Kingdom with it.
