Since this morning, a series of meetings have been held for governmental and specialized teams, to discuss the latest developments related to the Corona epidemic, the necessary measures to deal with them, and review the previous decisions taken. Prime Minister Dr. Omar Al-Razaz chaired a meeting of the National Committee for Epidemic Control.
In light of the review and evaluation, decisions have been reached regarding mosques and churches, so that they will reopen their doors according to specific mechanisms and conditions that will be announced by His Excellency the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs and Holy Places, and the Chairman of the Council of Church Presidents shortly.
A specific mechanism and requirements related to public safety and prevention have been reached to reopen the halls of restaurants and cafes, which will be announced by His Excellency the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities.
In addition, new decisions have been reached regarding school and university attendance, and the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Minister of Education will announce them, respectively.
We confirm here that adherence to the procedures, conditions and standards that have been set is the main determinant of reopening any establishment or entity. The government will intensify oversight, tighten it, and toughen penalties for non-compliant actors.
Prime Minister Dr. Omar Al-Razaz today issued Defense Order No. (17) of 2020 AD, according to which Defense Orders No. (8) and (16) were amended to increase the penalties for anyone who violates the obligations or measures imposed by the competent authorities,
The penalties amount to a fine of not less than five hundred dinars, and not more than one thousand dinars if the violation is for the first time, and with imprisonment for a period not exceeding one year or a fine of not less than one thousand dinars and not more than three thousand dinars, or both of these penalties in case of repetition.
Also punishable by imprisonment of up to one year, or a fine of three thousand dinars, or with both of these penalties, those in charge of managing hospitals, health centers, or medical laboratories. This is in the event that the competent authorities are not informed of the cases that prove her infection with the Coronavirus,
Closing any of them for a period not exceeding fourteen days if it is proven that the violation is repeated.
The application of any penalty pursuant to this defense order does not preclude the application of any more severe punishment, as stipulated in any other legislation.
Whoever holds a gathering in contravention of one thousand dinars and not more than three thousand dinars, if the violation is for the first time, and with imprisonment from three months to a year, or a fine of not less than two thousand dinars and not exceeding three thousand dinars, or both of these The two penalties in case of repetition.
Anyone who submits an incorrect PCR result with the intent to mislead the competent authorities shall be punished by imprisonment for up to one year, or with a fine of three thousand dinars, or with both of these penalties.
The relevant minister may publish the names of facilities that are closed according to any of the defense orders.

The Ministry of Transport and Health also announced an updated list of countries and destinations from which Jordan receives travelers, which will be approved as of today, Wednesday, 9/30/2020, for a period of two weeks from its date.
In light of the increasing numbers of infections, and within the policies and protocols to contain the Corona epidemic, we confirm that quarantine and home isolation will be adopted as a basis for dealing with those infected or suspected of being infected with the Coronavirus during the next week,

I also refer to the importance of family awareness in prevention and commitment, as the family is the basic nucleus of the commitment of the entire society.
