Jordan | The works are starting to spread salt on the roads where frost is expected to occur

Weather of Arabia - The Ministry of Public Works and Housing began, this evening, Wednesday, to sprinkle salt on the roads that frosts are expected to occur on, according to information received from the Meteorological Department, in anticipation of any landslides due to frosts.

The Ministry said in a press statement issued by the Media and Communication Unit, that a circular has been circulated to the directorates and offices by scattering salt on the roads that are constantly exposed to freezing in various regions of the Kingdom, especially the roads leading to hospitals and vital facilities within the jurisdiction, and to provide the necessary forms of support and support to partners working in the field to ensure the sustainability of Services provided to citizens, in accordance with the followed government approach based on participation and cooperation.

The Ministry warned citizens traveling on external roads and roads within its jurisdiction of low horizontal visibility due to the formation of fog on some roads, and the possibility of frost formation on other roads.

And she called on citizens to exercise utmost caution and stay away from torrents and valleys, and not to use vehicles except for extreme necessity during the hours of late Saturday evening and early Sunday, and to adhere to the instructions of their cadres and partners working in the field, coinciding with the expectations received from the Meteorological Department that indicate the possibility of frost formation in different regions of the Kingdom in the late night hours.

And she called on citizens to exercise caution and caution during the prevailing weather conditions and not hesitate to report any emergency situation through direct communication with the main operations room in the ministry and operating rooms in the governorates, or through the application of the works notification system on smart phones or through its operations rooms on the numbers next:
