Jordan: Public Security warns of hot air mass

Weather of Arabia - The media spokesman for the Public Security Directorate said that, given the high temperatures that the Kingdom is witnessing, the Civil Defense Directorate calls for the need to follow a set of tips and instructions to avoid incidents of sunstroke and heat stress:

• Avoid direct exposure to sunlight to avoid the risk of heat stroke and heat stress.
• Drink plenty of fluids and wear light and loose-fitting clothes.
• Do not leave sterilizers inside the vehicle during high temperatures because they contain flammable materials.
• Do not leave children alone inside the vehicle while performing their errands, and do not allow them to play under the sun for long periods of time.
• Wearing protective head coverings and hats and taking a break, especially for people whose work nature requires staying under direct sunlight for long periods.
• Not to set fire to weeds, especially in forested areas, and to stay away from dense weeds that are a hotbed for reptiles such as scorpions and snakes.
