Jordan: Temperatures to drop on Sunday as hot weather persists in various regions

Arab Weather - The Kingdom was affected today by what is called a "heat dome," causing a significant rise in temperatures across various regions of the Kingdom. Hot to extremely hot summer weather prevailed, especially in low-lying areas. Maximum temperatures ranged between the mid-to-late thirties Celsius in major cities, while they reached the mid-forties in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Night temperatures rise Saturday/Sunday night

Night temperatures will rise on Saturday/Sunday night, with lows reaching around 25°C. The weather will be warmer across the Kingdom, and relatively hot in low-lying areas, including the Jordan Valley and Aqaba.

Sunday: A slight drop in temperatures, but they remain above average.

On Sunday, May 18, 2025, temperatures will drop slightly, but remain several degrees Celsius higher than usual (around 7-9 degrees Celsius). The weather will be similar to summer weather, meaning hot across the Kingdom and extremely hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. High clouds will appear in several areas, and winds will be moderate westerly.

Sunday/Monday night: Mild weather, becoming moderate in the morning

During the night hours of Sunday/Monday, night temperatures tend to drop compared to previous nights, and the weather will be pleasant in the evening and early night hours, with moderate weather during the late night and dawn hours, especially in the high mountainous areas and eastern plains.
