Arab Weather - The Kingdom will be affected again starting Wednesday morning by a second-degree low-pressure system, concentrated over the southern regions. Temperatures will continue to drop, becoming 3-5 degrees Celsius below average on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. During the early morning hours, the weather will be very cold with a chance of scattered showers, sometimes accompanied by hail. Snow showers are also expected in the mountainous areas of southern Jordan and north of Mafraq, God willing.
Gradually during the day, the weather stabilizes in the north and center of the Kingdom, and the weather conditions are concentrated in the south of the Kingdom, with rain and hail showers. There remains a chance of snow showers on some of the high mountain peaks in the south of the Kingdom (the Sharah Mountains). The winds are northeasterly and moderate in speed, with active gusts in the southern desert.
During the evening and night hours of Wednesday/Thursday, colder winds will flow towards the Kingdom in the lower layers of the atmosphere, but without any atmospheric activity. Temperatures will drop further, approaching zero degrees Celsius over the high mountain peaks and eastern plains, coinciding with a decrease in cloud cover and a shift towards clear skies and calm winds. The weather conditions will be conducive to the formation of frost in large areas of the Kingdom, including agricultural areas, with the exception of the Jordan Valley and Aqaba. Freezing will also occur on roads in the high southern regions of the Kingdom, which witnessed snowfall.
And God knows best.
