Arab Weather – The latest satellite images show the formation of a wide band of cumulonimbus clouds laden with rain over the Palestinian territories from north to south, while the movement of these clouds indicates their gradual approach towards the Kingdom's atmosphere.
During the early morning hours, the chances of thunderstorms are expected to increase in scattered areas of the Kingdom, which may be heavy at times within narrow geographical areas, accompanied by occasional hail showers. These conditions are expected to lead to a clear increase in the chances of flash floods and the flow of valleys, and perhaps the occurrence of sudden flash floods, especially in low-lying areas such as the northern and central Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea region, in addition to the possibility of the formation of clouds touching the ground surface over the mountain highlands.
Forecasts indicate that the Jordan Valley and Dead Sea areas will experience heavy and thundery rain during the morning and afternoon hours, sometimes accompanied by hail showers, which greatly increases the likelihood of flash floods and overflowing valleys, including the risk of flash floods coming from neighboring areas.
Thunderclouds will also form over the Gulf of Aqaba region and its surrounding areas, including the mountains of Wadi Rum, especially during the dawn and morning hours, God willing.
