Omani Meteorology issues Alert (2) of heavy rain expected during the period between 21 and 22 March 2023

<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr">Weather of Arabia - Omani Meteorology and the Civil Aviation Authority issued a second warning of heavy rain expected during Tuesday and Wednesday 21 and 22 March 2023, and the alert states the following:</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Heavy thunderstorms likely to fall from tomorrow, Tuesday, March 21, to Wednesday morning, March 22, will continue in the governorates of Dhofar and Al Wusta, and will extend during the afternoon to include the governorates of South Al Sharqiyah, North Al Sharqiyah, Al Dakhiliyah, Al Dhahirah, Al Buraimi, Musandam, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, and Muscat, which ranges from 10 to 70 mm. within 24 hours</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> <strong>The expected effect during the alert period:</strong></p><ol style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"><li style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The flow of reefs and valleys in some areas, and the situation is accompanied by active downward winds, sometimes with hail.</li><li style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Low horizontal visibility during thunderstorms to less than 1000 metres</li><li style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The sea will be medium to rough on the coasts of the Arabian Sea and the coasts of south Sharqiyah, and its maximum height will range between 1.5 to 3 meters.</li></ol><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Therefore, the Civil Aviation Authority calls on everyone to take precautions and caution during thunderstorms, not to cross valleys, avoid low places, and not go to the sea during the alert period.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> God knows. </p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"><img alt="" src="/sites/default/files/uploads-2020/oman-20-3-2023.png" style="width: 848px; height: 1200px;" /></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p>
