Meteorology: Weather warnings issued for Thursday include 9 regions, including Mecca and Riyadh

The National Center for Meteorology issued a series of weather alerts covering parts of the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Al-Baha, Asir, Jazan, Riyadh, Qassim, Hail, and the Eastern Province, as a result of being affected by a state of atmospheric instability.

These warnings will continue until 9:00 PM on Thursday, May 7, 2026, with varying levels of warning between red, orange, and yellow depending on the severity of the weather conditions in each region.

Jazan region:

• The red alert includes: None.
• The orange alert includes: Al-Harth, Al-Da’ir, Al-Raith, Al-Ardah, Al-Aydabi, Fifa, Haroub.
• Yellow alert: None.

Riyadh region:

• The red alert includes: None.

• The yellow alert includes: Dawadmi, Al-Rayn, Al-Quway'iyah, Afif, Al-Zulfi, Al-Ghat, Al-Majma'ah, Shaqra.

Al-Qassim region:

• The orange alert includes: Abanat, Al Khabra, Ar Rass, Al Fawarah, An Nabhaniyah, Riyadh Al Khabra, Dhariyah, Uqlat As Suqur, Al Asyah, Al Badai, Al Bukayriyah, Ath Thamiriyah, Ash Shamasiyah, Al Ammar, Al Mudhnib, Buraydah, Unayzah, Uyun Al Jawa.
