Meteorology: Thunderstorms and lightning warnings issued for Wednesday, affecting 7 regions including Mecca.

The National Center for Meteorology issued a series of warnings for parts of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Najran, due to the impact of unstable weather conditions, until 9:00 PM on Wednesday.

Makkah Region:

The red alert includes: Taif, Adham, Maysan.

The orange alert includes: soil, rhea, scorpions,

The yellow alert includes: Al-Khurmah, Al-Miyah.

Al-Baha region:

The red alert includes: Al-Baha, Al-Aqiq, Al-Qura, Al-Mandaq, Baljurashi, Bani Hassan.

The orange alert includes: Al-Hujrah, Al-Makhwah, Ghamid Al-Zanad, Qalwah.

Asir region:

The red alert includes: Abha, Ahad Rafidah, Khamis Mushait, Al-Harjah, Al-Rabou'ah, Al-Farshah, Sarat Abidah, Dhahran Al-Janoub, Rijal Alma', Mahayil, Al-Namas, Balqarn, Tanomah, Bisha

The orange alert includes: Al Majardah, Bariq, Al Amwah, Al Ari, Tathlith, Tarib.

Jazan region:

The red alert includes: Al-Harth, Al-Da’ir, Al-Raith, Al-Ardah, Al-Aydabi, Fifa, Haroub.

The orange alert includes: Abu Arish, Ahad Al Masarihah, Al Tuwal, Al Fatihah, Samtah, Sabya, Damad.

Yellow alert: Jazan, Al Darb, Bish.

Riyadh region:

The orange alert includes: As-Sulayyil, Wadi Ad-Dawasir,

The yellow alert includes: Riyadh, Diriyah, Thadiq, Huraymila, Rumah, Dhurma, Marat, Dawadmi, Al-Rayn, Al-Quway'iyah, Afif, Al-Zulfi, Al-Ghat, Al-Majma'ah, Shaqra.

Madinah region

Yellow alert includes: Crib

Najran region

The orange alert includes: Badr Al Janoub, Thar, Habuna, Khabash, Najran, Yadma

The most prominent expected weather phenomena:

• Moderate to heavy rain
• Active to very strong winds
• Reduced horizontal visibility
• lightning
• Hail fell
• The possibility of flash floods and valleys

The center called for caution, especially while driving, and urged people to avoid flood channels and areas where water accumulates, while following updates regularly.
