وتتراجع قوة الإعصار تدريجيا أثناء تحركه تجاه الأراضي اليمنية، حيث يتوقع أن يضربها يوم غد الثلاثاء كعاصفة استوائية مترافقة برياح عاتية وأمطار غزيرة مسببة للفيضانات والسيول بعدما ضربت جزيرة سقطرى كإعصار من الدرجة الثالثة.

 

ومن المتوقع أن تكون سواحل محافظات أبين ولحج  الساحليتين ومن ضمنهما مدينة عدن من المناطق المستهدفة من العاصفة، حيث أصدر مركز "طقس العرب" الإقليمي تحذيرات جدية من تبعات العاصفة على السواحل اليمنية من فيضانات ورياح عاتية وكذا ارتفاع أمواج البحر يوم غد الثلاثاء.
