طقس العرب- تؤثر على اليابسة أنواع مختلفة من الكتل الهوائية التي تُعرف بأنها كتلة من الهواء المتجانس ذو خصائص محددة يكتسبها من طبيعة المنطقة التي يتكون بها.

ويوجد أنواع عدة للكتل الهوائية، تعتمد على المنطقة التي تشكلت بها، فلو تكونت الكتلة الهوائية في منطقة قارّية أطلق عليها بالكتلة الجافة، بينما لو تكونت في منطقة رطبة أو فوق المحيطات فسيطلق عليها اسم كتلة رطبة.

ومن أهم أنواع الكتل الهوائية :

- الكتلة الهوائية الحارة الجافة (CT)

- الكتلة الهوائية الحارة الرطبة( MT).

- الكتلة الهوائية الباردة الجافة (CP).

- الكتلة الهوائية الباردة الرطبة (MP).

- الكتلة الهوائية القطبية شديدة البرودة (CA).
