The head of the observatory, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Qaryouti, said in a press statement that the Jordanian earthquake monitoring stations recorded the explosion at 06:08 minutes, and that the explosion is equivalent to an earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale, describing the energy freed from the explosion by force

 

CNN reported that the Euro-Mediterranean Center for Seismology confirmed that the Beirut explosion was felt by Cyprus, which is located 240 km away.
