طقس العرب- تسببت الفيضانات التي شهدتها سيرلانكا خلال الأسبوع الماضي بنزوح نحو نصف مليون شخص من منازلهم ووفاة 177 آخرين، فيما وصفت هذه الفيضانات بالأسوأ منذ اكثر من عقد.

 

وأعلن مركز إدارة الكوارث ان 109 أشخاص لا يزالون مفقودين، وأعلن الجيش ان توقف الامطار الغزيرة لفترة وجيزة اتاح نشر مروحيات وسفن وعناصر على الأرض لاجلاء السكان من المناطق المنكوبة وايصال المساعدات الغذائية واحتياجات أولية اخرى

 

وتسببت الامطار الغزيرة بحصول فيضانات وانزلاقات تربة في البلاد ما ارغم حوالى نصف مليون شخص فى جنوب وغرب البلاد على ترك منازلهم. وتشهد سريلانكا فيضانات بشكل منتظم مع بدء الامطار الموسمية السنوية.
