Arabia Weather - Last Friday, the United States witnessed dozens of storms that caused severe material damage and injured at least three people, according to the authorities.

American meteorology recorded more than 70 tornadoes, most of them in the area of Omaha, Nebraska, and near Iowa, while video clips circulated on social media showing massive black tornadoes that crashed with strong winds, causing the sweeping away of soil, dust, and various materials.

The storms destroyed several buildings, downed power lines and diverted train tracks, and in the suburbs of Omaha, photos showed demolished homes and trees with their leaves torn off.

The collapse of an industrial building occurred in Elkhorn, near Omaha, where about 70 people inside the building were evacuated, and three of them sustained non-serious injuries.

It is worth noting that tornadoes are a weather phenomenon that is difficult to predict, as they are common in the United States, especially in the center and south of the country.

Weather officials urged residents in eastern Nebraska to seek shelter as tornadoes moved through the Lincoln and Omaha metro areas on Friday, April 26.

In a recent event, powerful tornadoes wreaked havoc across the US Midwest, particularly affecting states like Nebraska, Iowa, and Texas.

Local media reports indicate extensive damage to hundreds of houses, with at least three reported injuries.
