يُذكر أن هذه الموجة من الأمطار الغزيرة تأتي بعد فترة طولية من الإنحباس المطري الذي عانت منه المملكة، وكانت مُختلف مناطق المملكة قد بدأت تتأثر مُنذ ساعات ظُهر الأمس بحالة من عدم الإستقرار الجوي حيثُ تساقطت على إثرها الأمطار التي إشتدت بشكل لافت مع ساعات الفجر.
