Climate Report: 2021 is the fifth driest year in Saudi Arabia during the past three decades

<p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"><strong>Arab Weather</strong> - After analyzing the data of 26 inhabited meteorological stations affiliated with the National Center of Meteorology in 13 administrative regions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the National Center of Meteorology issued a report on the climatic situation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the year 2021, which included a summary of the state of the climate in the Kingdom during the past year.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The report included several data, including surface temperatures, precipitation, dusty and dusty phenomena and drought conditions.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> <u>With regard to precipitation, the report stated the following:</u></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><h2 style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> <span style="color:#FF0000;"><strong>2007 was the driest year in Saudi Arabia in 30 years</strong></span></h2><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The year 2021 AD recorded less than the average, as it reached 62.9 mm, as it is estimated at 71% of the average rainfall for the reference period (1991-2020), and the order of 2021 was the <strong>fifth</strong> driest year compared to the reference period, while <strong>2007 was the driest year</strong> in terms of Annual precipitation and <strong>1997 the wettest year</strong> .</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><h2 style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> <span style="color:#FF0000;"><strong>Abha and Khamis Mushait will receive above average rains in July 2021</strong></span></h2><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The report showed that the rainfall in the winter and summer seasons is slightly higher than the average due to the high rainfall for the months of February and July, while the rainfall rate remained below the normal rate for the rest of the months.
