Weather of Arabia - Rescue teams affiliated with the National Center for Wildlife Development were able to control a crocodile in one of the streets of Qatif Governorate, after a report received from a person stating that he had seen a crocodile wandering in one of the streets.

Immediately, rescue teams rushed to the site of the report and were able to control the crocodile, which was approximately 3 meters long, using special metal nets. It was transferred to a specialized center for rehabilitation and return to its natural habitat.

On the other hand, the Qatif Governorate Municipality closed the park from which the crocodile escaped in the governorate as a precaution, and the necessary measures were taken in cooperation with the governorate police. This was after the crocodile was controlled, and the municipality inspected the area to ensure that there were no other stray animals from the same park.

The National Center for Wildlife Development in Saudi Arabia said in its statement:

“In cooperation with the competent authorities, a loose crocodile was controlled in the eastern region after receiving a report about the creature’s presence in a street, and it was transferred to the center’s shelter center.”
