Arab Weather - The US Geological Survey reported in the early morning hours on Tuesday that an earthquake measuring 6.7 on the Richter scale had occurred in the Pacific Ocean, off the coast of the Philippines.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 70 kilometers , and about 100 kilometers southeast of Sarangani state, according to the authority’s report. Despite the great strength of the earthquake, no tsunami warning was issued according to the American tsunami warning system, and there were no reports of injuries or damage. .

Last December, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology recorded a 5.9-magnitude earthquake near Lubang Island, southwest of the capital, Manila.
