ArabiaWeather.com- أكد علماء الأحياء البحرية أن ظاهرة الشواطئ المضيئة التي حدثت على شاطئ مدينة "هونج كونج" الصينية، هي عبارة توهجات ضوئية ناجمة عن بقع فلورية زرقاء سامة.

 

وأوضحوا أن هذه الظاهرة الغريبة مثيرة للقلق؛ كوناه مؤشر على تكاثر الطحالب الضارة نتيجة ما يسمى تلألؤ البحر "Noctiluca scintillans"، بحسب صحيفة الديلي ميل البريطانية.

 

وأوضحت سامنثا جوي من جامعة جورجيا أن كائنات "تلألؤ البحر" عبارة عن كائنات وحيدة الخلية، تتغذى على العوالق البحرية وتظهر نتيجة التلوث الزراعي المدمر للحياة البحرية، موضحة أن ظاهرة الشواطئ المضيئة تنمو وتزدهر على مستوى العالم.
