وكانت العاصفة الرملية قد اندفعت نحو العاصمة طهران الاثنين مصحوبة برياح وصلت قوتها إلى حدود 115 كم/ساعة وهو مُتسببة بمصرع ما لا يقل عن 5 أشخاص إضافة إلى عشرات الإصابات نتيجة تطاير الأخشاب و اللوحات الإعلانية.
