موقع Arabiaweather.com - سجل مركز القيادة والسيطرة في الإدارة العامة للعمليات في شرطة دبي 253 حادثاً خلال 7 ساعات فقط من سقوط الأمطار من الساعة السادسة صباحاً وحتى الواحدة ظهراً فيما تلقى 3200 مكالمة هاتفية طارئة في تلك الفترة دون تسجيل حالات وفاة.

 

من جانب آخر ذكر مدير الإدارة العامة للمرور بشرطة دبي العقيد سيف مهير المزروعي، أن الادارة تقوم بتنظيم حركة السير والمرور في التقاطعات التي تشهد كثافة في المركبات، ومتابعة حركة المركبات في الطرق الداخلية والخارجية، بالإضافة إلى التدخل السريع في الحالات الطارئة، محذراً كافة السائقين ومستخدمي الطريق من التغيرات المتوقعة في أحوال الطقس.

 

وطالب المزروعي بدوره السائقين باتخاذ الحيطة على الطرقات خلال الأجواء الماطرة التي تسيطر على الدولة واتباع جميع الإجراءات الوقائية والالتزام بالقوانين واللوائح المرورية وتخفيف السرعات، بالإضافة إلى ترك مسافة أمان كافية في هذه الظروف، مشيراً إلى أن نسبة الحوادث المرورية التي تقع في الأجواء الماطرة قد تكون خطيرة جداً نتيجة لهبوط مستوى الرؤية لدى السائقين.
