Urgent | Meteorology: Red warning of heavy rain and lightning in 3 regions until this evening

The National Center for Meteorology issued a "red" level warning covering parts of the Jazan, Asir and Al-Baha regions, due to their being affected by a state of atmospheric instability, until 9:00 PM.

Areas covered:

Al-Baha region:

These include the governorates of: Al-Baha, Al-Aqiq, Al-Qura, Al-Mandaq, Baljurashi, and Bani Hassan.

Asir region:

These include: Al Namas, Balqarn, Tanomah, Rijal Alma, Mahayil, Al Harjah, Al Rabua, Al Farsha, Sarat Abidah, Dhahran Al Janoub, Abha, Khamis Mushait, Ahad Rafidah.

Jazan region:

These include: Al-Harth, Al-Da’ir, Al-Raith, Al-Ardah, Al-Aydabi, Fifa, Haroub.

The most prominent expected weather phenomena:

• Moderate to heavy rain
• Active to very strong winds
• Reduced horizontal visibility
• lightning
• Hail fell
• The possibility of flash floods and valleys

Important note:

The center called for caution, especially while driving, and urged people to avoid flood channels and areas where water accumulates, while following updates regularly.
