موقع ArabiaWeather.com- ضربت عاصفة ثلجية قوية المناطق الشرقية من كندا، اليوم الاثنين، وأدت إلى إلغاء رحلات الطيران في مطار ستانفيلد الدولي بمدينة هاليفاكس واوقفت حركة الملاحة في هذه المقاطعة الساحلية التي تقع على المحيط الأطلسي.

 

كما أدت الرياح العاتية وسقوط الأمطار الغزيرة إلى انقطاع الكهرباء عن 2800 منزل بالمقاطعة بعد أن وصلت سرعة الرياح إلى 121 كيلومترا في الساعة.

 

وأصدرت وزارة البيئة الكندية بيانا أشارت فيه الى الأضرار البالغة التي سببتها العاصفة، بعد أن وصل ارتفاع الثلوج إلى 20 سنتيمترا وأدت إلى إغلاق عدد من الطرق الرئيسة. ويتوقع استمرار العاصفة حتى مساء الغد.
