Arab Weather - Meteorologists at the Arab Weather Regional Center said that the latest satellite images at the Arab Weather Center indicate an unusual surge of tropical moisture towards the Mediterranean Sea, coinciding with the undulation of the polar jet stream and the surge of a cold upper trough towards central and southern Europe via the Tyrrhenian Sea, which is considered part of the Mediterranean Sea, which has been suffering from recent surface warming due to marine heat waves.

With these weather conditions combining, severe thunderstorms are forming in the central Mediterranean, accompanied by waves of heavy rain and hail, causing floods and torrents, especially in Italy and Greece.
