موقع ArabiaWeather.com- أمر حاكم ولاية كاليفورنيا الأمريكية جيرى براون بتمديد قرار يُلزم سكان الولاية الواقعة غرب البلاد بالحفاظ على المياه بينما تستعد لعام خامس من الجفاف.

 

ويتيح هذا القرار سلطة أكبر لمسؤولي المياه في الولاية للتعامل مع تداعيات الجفاف والعواصف الشتوية الناجمة عن ظاهرة النينو والتي تسبب ارتفاعا في درجة حرارة سطح المحيط.

 

وكان براون قد أصدر تعليمات إلى البلدات في الولاية بخفض استخدام المياه بنسبة 25% هذا العام في أول خفض إلزامي، فيما حدد منظمو الولاية أهدافًا للوكالات المحلية ومن المقرر أن تنتهي في شهر فبراير المقبل.
