Arab Weather - The Jordanian Seismological Observatory recorded 6 earthquakes within 24 hours south of Lake Tiberias, with a magnitude ranging from 2 to 4 degrees, the last of which was an earthquake on Wednesday morning, according to the director of the observatory, Ghassan Suwaidan.

The director of the observatory, Ghassan Sweidan, said that the strength of the first main earthquake, which was recorded at 8:55 pm on Tuesday, was 4 on the Richter scale, followed by another earthquake at 01:30 after midnight on Tuesday and Wednesday, with a magnitude of 2.4, and then an earthquake at around 1:30 pm. 3:12 at dawn on Wednesday, with a strength of 2 on the Richter scale.

Suwaidan added that these earthquakes were followed by another earthquake of 2.6 degrees at 03:43 am on Wednesday, then another earthquake of 3.4 degrees at 05:20, and another with a magnitude of 3 at 05:49 on Wednesday morning.

He pointed out that "the epicenter of the earthquakes was 7 km south of Tiberias on the Dead Sea Fault, with a depth of 10 km."

As reported by the correspondent of Al-Mamlaka Channel, an earthquake measuring 3.4 degrees on the Richter scale occurred at 5:20 am south of Tiberias.
