Weather of Arabia - The Jordanian Seismological Observatory of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources recorded this afternoon, Saturday, an earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale, northeast of Damascus / the Syrian-Lebanese border.

The head of the observatory, Eng. Ghassan Sweidan, said that the earthquake recorded at 2:25 pm Jordan time occurred at a depth of 12 kilometers.

He added that the earthquake is 238 km north of Amman.
