Will the oak and strawberry tree forests in Jordan recover after the recent rains?

Arab Weather - The rains that fell on Jordan between November 14 and 15, 2025, revived hopes for a good agricultural season after a long period of drought, and after the 2024/25 rainy season, which was one of the weakest rainy seasons in fifty years.
The forests of Barqash in the Koura district of Irbid Governorate, which are located between 700 and 950 meters above sea level, received about 60 millimeters of rain during that period, which is a positive indicator of water supply and high soil moisture levels.

After a field tour of the forest, we found that most of the trees, including oak, holm oak, holm oak, gall oak, and strawberry tree (maple), had partially recovered, thank God.
As for forest trees that have begun to show signs of branch drying, yellowing, or leaf wilting, they may recover if the buds remain alive and the internal tissues intact. And God knows best.
