 وجرى الحادث الذي وصف بالمروع بين شاحنة عراقية وأخرى أردنية، نجم عنه وفاة السائقين، وقامت كوادر الدفاع المدني في محافظة المفرق بالانتقال بشكل فوري الى مكان الحادث، وعملت على  تحرير الوفيات باستخدام معدات مختصة لمثل هذا النوع من الحوادث، وتم نقل الوفاتان إلى مركز صحي الصفاوي ومن ثم لمستشفى المفرق الحكومي.
